I have been Harbormaster since 2004 before that Deputy since 1999. Our Deputy is Tom Fahy we patrol 10 miles of the River which runs 150 miles from its source to Long Island Sound. The River is one of the most beautiful in the State, We have a bird sanctuary filled with unique birds. Among them, blue herons, osprey, kingfishers, sandpipers, geese, ducks, gulls, heron, and Bald eagles fly overhead. Bluefish, striped bass, blue crabs, and the best oysters in the US are here too.
