I am a 25 year Army veteran helicopter pilot and retired from Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation after a 29 year career in aviation and system safety engineering. I was appointed as a State Harbormaster for the Town of Guilford in 2013. The Southern town line borders Long Island Sound for approximately 5 nm, but has numerous coves, bay and inlets yielding approximately 10-15 nm of rocky shoreline rich with shellfish beds. There are approximately 200 private moorings along the shoreline.
